BHL visit of the IMDEA Energy’s site in Mostoles near Madrid

𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁-𝘁𝗼-𝗟𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 that have the potential to deliver cost-efficient, reliable, and clean energy – and to pave the way for global energy resilience and sustainability, and for increased technological sovereignty in Europe.

BHL partners Andreas Sizmann and Moritz Thiel had the opportunity to visit the IMDEA Energy’𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠ó𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱. An impressive reminder of how far solar fuel research has advanced and contributed to leadership and innovation in Europe. A big 🙏 to our host Jose Gonzalez-Aguilar!

The EU- and SERI-funded SUN-to-LIQUID II project aims for a world record in solar-to-syngas energy conversion efficiency in a 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 – a technology that is capable of 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲-𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟴𝟬% and that is scalable far beyond future fuel demand.
