Fuels from Sunlight and Air, Farewell lecture from Prof. Aldo Steinfeld

“Fuels from Sunlight and Air” is a compelling vision and a demonstrated breakthrough that Prof. Aldo Steinfeld pursued with great technological success, scientific impact and inspiration for generations of scientist, engineers and entrepreneurs.

His key innovations in the projects SOLAR-JET (2011-2015) and SUN-to-LIQUID (2016-2019) paved the way for SUN-to-LIQUID II and beyond. His contribution is key on a path to eventually tapping into the virtually unlimited production potential of solar fuels for the transition to 100% renewable energy and specifically for sustainable aviation fuel at the scale of future global demand.

The lecture “Fuels from Sunlight and Air” of Prof. Aldo Steinfeld was held on May 21st at ETH Zürich, and  in Live Streaming from the AudiMax.
